Re: HAED fabric colour?

I use white or cream, cause I don't want to leave a border showing next to the stitching. Well, not with my haeds that is. My framer uses those (sorry for my English, don't know the word) "thick paper frame around the work" for full stitched pieces.

What could be a problem? The first one (Bottom) or the second one (Queen)?

Hugs and Bubbles,
Ca.

I'm using 18 count aida, with 2 threads. It's looks lovely i think. Not too thick and not too lose so I can see white.

Re: My biggest wip: Bottom of the Garden

No, I don't think so. Cause I have linen here, and compared it with the fabric I had, and the varations in threads was a lot less then in linen. and one thread was very loose, and another one was very thight. It wasn't a "brand" I know either, so no zweigart or dmc. This is somewhere page ...

Re: Over half first page, Yipee

Well, I'm only stitching a year and a half now, my first work was a Vervaco coffee mug and my second, I was so ambitious, that I started a Haed. I loved the design a lot. I went to a fair and found someone selling fabrics and I think she kinda ripped me off. I hated the fabric and couldn't work on i...

Re: Yet another newbie!

Hello there, and welcome to our lovely site.

It's very easy to make a blog. I use blogspot and used wordpress before, but I must say I like blogger more. For me it's easier to work with and to set up it up, it's very easy.

If you have questions about it, just send me a pm and I'll help you.

Bottom of the Garden (update 24/08/10, pg 2)

This is my biggest wip at the moment. I work on other projects aswell, but here I want to show you my Haed. It's Bottom of the Garden from Amy Brown. I adore it. I started another Haed, the Queen of Hearts from Anderson, as my second piece ever, but I threw it away. I think the person that sold me t...

Re: Does anyone use the Stitchbow system?

I had it, but I have given it away to someone. I didn't like it at all, I use bobbins now in boxes, but still need to find a good system for my extra skeins and how to keep track off in/out/need to buy

Re: Fabric dilemna

My first Haed (which I threw away) was started on fabric I didn't knew what it was, but it worked horrible.

The second one I started recently I'm stitching on 18-count aida with 2 threads, and I must say, I love it.

Re: Frame with or without glass?

Glass, but my framer uses something "new", it's like a film over your stitched project. Next time I'll go I'll ask him what it is, if anyone wants to know what is, that is.
