Hello, New member/fairly new stitcher
Hello all from Oklahoma! I'm fairly new to cross stitching, I have a few projects under my belt but nothing substantial as of yet. I've just started my first *BIG* stich yesterday and I'm feeling slight trepidation at the sheer magnitude of it I don't know anyone who stitches, so I've turned to the Internet to find a community and place to share my love. I am excited to be able to post my first WIP, but I fear that's a little ways off (I only just finished my first 70 stitches yesterday). Happy stitching!

Hello and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! And welcome to the wonderful world of stitching! This is a great place to share your enjoyment in the projects you are working on. I also know almost no one who stitches and for 25+ years stitched alone. Since joining the forum I have learned more in these 5 years, tried new techniques, designs and amassed an even more ridiculous amount of stash than I had before 
. In stitching your first big project, the first thing to remember is, like the smaller projects you have done, it is one stitch at a time. And if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask. Looking forward to getting to know you!Carole

Hello from Colorado and welcome to the forum. I also have no stitchy friends - well, I didn't until I joined the forum, now I have lots, all over the world.
I'm looking forward to seeing your WIP - don't worry about it only being 70 stitches in. We love to see each other's progress, and give extra encouragement when the stitchy bug tries to run away.
