Missin My Stitchin

Post by MnLtWspr »

I miss stitching! it has been almost 2 months i think since i last stitched. It's been so hard. Seriously stitching can be an addiction! Taking a bunch of seemingly random colored threads and weaving them on a canvas to magically form a beautiful work of art. Before you say "well why don't you just stitch then?" here's why: right now all the things i have that help with my stitching are a few sizes of cheap wooden hoops that don't hold well and have a few splinters in them, an old, bent, worn needle that i found by luck because the one my kit came with broke into 3 pieces at the eye, and a homemade floss organizer/divider thingy (the stick with the holes in it) that was made from a scrap board from another project and has splinters that catch the threads now and then. Its not the best experience to work with these but i was getting by. But guess what? My boyfriend is getting me some stitchers treats for christmas! First off i'm getting 3 new gold plated needles! Whoo hoo! I'm getting a split rail scroll frame with a detachable lap stand, yay! No more rings on my cloth! And 2 new floss holders that come with magnets on them for needles! Plus a new kit, some colored highlighters, and something else i think.... But don't worry the christmas surprise is still there because he's going to pick out the kit from a list i gave him :D
It's just so hard to keep myself from stitching before i get the stuff! Support is much needed!

Sounds like lovely stitchy gifts are on their way, and you'll be all set! (for a while, anyway -lol )

Take care of your things so they last for a long time, and add to your stash in little bits, here and there. You'll always have a project to work on and you'll always have the support you need on this forum :)
