Hi Brandi! It is so good to hear from you though I am sorry to hear that what you thought would happen, has happened, but you at least have shelter. that you have your appeal sooner rather than later and you will be able to get yourself settled in your own place, get your possessions out of storage and have a better year this year.

What a horrible thing to do but at least you do have somewhere to sleep and definitely that your appeal is heard asap. Hang in there Brandi, you have got this far which is amazing and I am sure you can go the rest of the way too.

I'm glad you're out of that horrible situation, even though it means you're at the homeless shelter now. I hope you hear back soon about the disability so you can find a place of your own where you're not terrorized. big
So sorry to hear what has happened Brandi & wish you luck for your court appeal. Like the others I do hope everything gets sorted soon. It is an awful situation for you to be in & to have to deal with. Sending love & hugs. Take care
Sorry to hear what hppened to you . Hope everything gets sorted put soon . Sending you lots of Take care of yourself and remember we are always here for you.
Love Ann
Hey everyone. Thanks for all the well wishes. My caseworker at the homeless shelter sent my lawyer a letter about my staying there and he filed for an expedition of my case with the SSA since they're backed up and had extended to 12-14 months of waiting before assigning court dates instead of 8-12 as initially stated. Today I got a letter in the mail from the SSA saying that they are approving the request for my critical case and that I will have a special expedition in the processing of my case. that this means I will be getting my court date very soon, since I am already within the window between the 8 and 12 months.
Aside from that things are going okay. It's still a stressful living situation, but it's better than nothing. I've been in more pain than I've been in in a long while as a combination of weather, not getting all the sleep I need and having to do as much as I do. But hopefully that will soon be over and I'll be able to move in somewhere I can call home.

Good to hear from you Brandi and good to hear that for a change things seem to be going in the right direction for you. Hopefully a critical case hearing is within weeks and not months, but fortunately not years. I'll keep and get the cats to keep their paws crossed (extra good luck when they cooperate) and will that soon you will be posting about your stitching because you will have a place that is yours. Take care and keep us posted.

So, more good news! My case worker and I called the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review during my meeting with her this morning to see if they had an estimated time frame. we had to leave a message because the person we needed to talk to was running an orientation session, but she got back to my case worker a bit ago.
Anyway, my case has been flagged as dire need and it literally comes down to whatever date both the judge and my lawyer agree on when they get in contact to confer. but they expect my court date should be around mid-August! maybe sooner, maybe a little later, but somewhere in that general time frame.
I just want to cry tears of relief that it's finally getting somewhere. And somewhere good at that. Thanks again for all the lovely comments. I miss you all so much.
