Yes it is Chewy, the most loved Wookie around. (side note. Autocorrect thinks Wookie should be Cookie and we have to argue a little bit about that
every time I type it. Finally added it to my "dictionary")

After Chewy, there are two more characters and some quotes I'm going to put in the middle. Should be done by my son's birthday in May. I hope.

Our eldest dyed his hair when he was in his late teens and by mistake it turned anorangy-brown. He was also quite hairy, and so among his friends he got the nickname Chewy. Years later, when we bumped into a now grown-up friend of his, he came up to Dh and said, oh hello, you're Chewy's Dad aren't you!

You are making great progress on this! It's so nice to see Chewbacca appearing, I can't believe you only have a couple more characters left to do!

I haven't managed to get too much done since my last update as my stitchy bug isn't hanging around as much. Actually I think he's been spending time curled up with Rosey since he does show up now and then. I've made progress and it's encouraging. So its a little slower going, but progress is progress is progress.

Even as a non Star Wars fan, I can recognise Chewbacca.

He really is coming along beautifully, and yes Carole progress is progress, it really doesn't matter if we stitch 10 stitches or 120 stitches, as long as you are enjoying it, that is the main thing ( yes, I know it's for a gift, but I am sure the recipient would not want you rushing yourself and stressing yourself out, especially with all you're going through at the moment).

My stitchy bug has been in and out of the house lately (makes me wonder what he's doing when he's away from home ) but he's been around long enough that I've managed to make some progress on Chewy.



Thank you all again for your kind words and feedback. Definitely keeps him (stitchy bug - why do I think it's a "him"? ) from roaming too far away.
