In all of my sewing I forgot my lower body was broke and I made it worse sewing 18 huggies in 3 days. So I am being forced into less impactful craft hobbies. I have a friend in the UK up to her neck in life. She has 3 disabled kids ages 6,5, and 3 and she is about 4-5 years younger than me as i am only 33... Her 6 year old who is autistic asked for a comfort blanket for him and his monkey that some one crocheted for him. So I made him a continuous granny square..but then I felt about about his younger sisters.. So I just finished a corner to corner for the 5 year old and I got better yarn colors for the 3 year old today and will start that tomorrow.. The pictures are James's continuous granny square and Chloe's corner to corner. I still need to tuck ends, but that can come when I get all 3 done..

Love the colours, but the reason is so much more.

Thank you. Earlier this year I made the kids embroidered long sleeve shirts.. I had a stash of kids long sleeve shirts and just embroidered designs on them with me PE770..I also sent mom a bunch of cross stitch supplies and the kids a bunch of crocheted stuffed animals I had made.

Thank you what I do is therapy.. it keeps hyde in check so that miserable witch does not come out and make life miserable. Hyde is the monster that lives inside of me cause I my disorders..she's not a seperate personality...just my nasty side. I keep her in check by crafting and making gifts for people. Crafting is great therapy.

As usual, Richard is spot on.
Thank you. I still have to figure out where to get the shipping money. But I understand these kids being disabled myself. My mom had virtually no help with me. yeah my grandpa and his second wife bought us clothes and what not..but my mom was blamed for how I was by every one in the family and by everyone outside of the family. So I understand what Carmel is going through and I try to help her when I can.

What is important is that you not only recognize what you need to do for yourself, you do the things you need to do and others benefit from your actions. I love your afghans, but as Richard said, the reason is so much more!

Thank you. I've tried selling my crafts off and on, but I have found making gifts is much more fulfilling and with Carmel I try to help where I can. I do not ask her to pay me for anything and even tho shipping to the UK is expensive..those kids joy out of getting their boxes is more than enough for me

I'll join in with the Such thoughtful wonderful things to make for your friend who must be under terrific pressure. These will give her a great fillip as well as the children loving them. Well done She must be very glad to have you as a caring friend

I do not try to rush it ends up making my hands and my neck, back, and shoulders really ache. I am trying to get my mom's Christmas present done first before I start back on Rosie's blanket
