I hope this photo upload works... I managed to get a 12 year UFO of the Isle of Lewis Callanish stone circle finished this summer, it needs an iron and I'm not an expert stitcher so it's not expertly done! I meant to post this a while ago, life has managed to get in the way but I've just returned from a trip to England with a load of threads, fabric and projects to while away the winter months.
Darn... didn't work, I'll keep trying!
Update on the umpteenth edit - hurrah! I think I've cracked it!

Would like to see them, but on the two occasions I've been north of the border I was made to feel so welcome as a 'Bluidy Englishman', it'll never happen. Had I been made to feel that welcome for myself as a person as opposed to a member of a nation, I'd have been happy to return, only to somewhere else. (As an aside, my welcome made me very pro Scottish Independence and I was furious I didn't have a vote)
Thank you everyone, that is really encouraging as it's the most complicated pattern I've ever followed! I found a very nice frame for it for £2 at a charity shop, I was very pleased with that find.
Richard, that is so awful to hear of your experiences in Scotland, that is totally unacceptable but I would like to say that in my experience it is not representative of the Scots overall. I've not had any negative experiences on my many visits to Scotland, so I hope that some day you will decide to go to see Callanish. It is amazing, as are many of the other ancient sites on the island, and I found the people to be lovely.
That's a nice finish. I hope to visit Scotland one day, and this picture makes me want to visit even more. Thanks for sharing a picture of your finish.
Well Done on getting it finished. It is beautifully stitched and is going to look lovely in the frame you have bought I am sure. A lovely memory of for you.

@Richard: I'm sorry your experience was so negative. There are stupid people no matter where you go, I guess. Should you ever venture north to the Hebrides, remember that, to them, everyone on the mainland is in the same boat -- we're all Sassenachs!
Serinde, you're spot on about the Hebrideans - lovely people, but they didn't seem to share any sense of nation with my husband who is from Scotland's North East!
Congratulations on a lovely finish!!! We didn't get to Scotland on my trip to the UK, but it is most definitely on the agenda for my next voyage across the big pond! I would love to see this stone circle. Loved Stonehenge and Amsbury. Fascinating, mystical and more awesome in person than I imagined.
