There is a part of me that thinks it is oh-so-wrong to do that to a book. But, it is so beautiful.

I only use books that would pretty much end up in a landfill so I'm kinda upcycling

I didn't mean to sound like I was criticizing.
I especially like the fanned open book that says Home.

That one is proudly on display at my parents
But I've done quite a few different ones
I didn't mean to sound like I was jumping on you, so many people have given me verbal abuse for 'destroying books' that I'm quite protective of them

You are a lady of many talents....
It didn't occur to me that it was an actual book. I thought it was a clever arrangement of paper folding.
I like the paper flowers.

Holy moly, you are talented. Is there any crafty thing you can't do? I love the idea of upcycling books that would otherwise be destroyed.

I agree!! Especially today when so many books are discarded in favor of ebooks and audiobooks (I am guilty myself, except I do read books too when I get a chance, but ebooks are so much easier to carry around
). Great projects!

Very pretty things you have made well done. Here people make hedgehogs out of small books like pocket dictionaries which stay in charity shops ages & rarely get sold. Haven't seen any for a while but one time they seemed to be everywhere.

All of those are amazing. I wish I had the patience to do paper folding like that...(mind you I don't have patience for that art form to begin with)...and the bead work is astounding...All I can do is cross stitch, crochet, and plastic canvas...Thank you so very much for sharing these lovely items.
