Baaad Week

Post by SunnyDay »

I haven't been on lately as I was in an auto accident on Monday. My car was totaled and so was my back. Worse news is my doctor said no cross stitching until my back/neck are a bit better. Not a happy camper! I will try and check in a bit but mostly I am flat on my back on ice. :( Hope everyone is well and enjoying their stitchy time.

You poor thing  . That must have been so scary. Glad to see you back with us but NO STITCHING!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh :ratherbe: . How awful. I really hope your back gets better soon, and take the doc's advice, as if you try and rush things you could do more damage.

 Sending lots of hugs your way. I am sooooooooo sorry to hear about this. I hope that you will heal quickly. follow the doctor's directions and use the time to catch up on reading and maybe watching all those dvd/movies that you haven't had any time for. See if someone can get you them from you local library. Check in when you can and let us know how you are doing. Once you get well you'll be able to stitch up a storm. Thoughts and prayers also headed your way.

So sorry to hear this; do take the doctor's advice so as not to end up with a permanent problem, hard though that may be once you start to improve a little. You'll have to content yourself with magazines for a bit. Do try to let us know how you are doing, please.

I'm sorry to hear about your car wreck.

At least you got away with (what sounds like) nothing too too serious for injuries? Follow Dr's orders and I'm sure you'll be back to stitchy times in no time at all!

 but very gently...

Take your time to get healed, backs/necks are delicate structures.

Remember stitching stash does not have a 'sell-by' date so it won't go off!

I'm so sorry to hear about your accident and hope you will soon be on the mend.
It's tough being told not to stitch, but you'll soon be back with a needle in your hand if you take the Dr's advice.

You poor thing, must have been terrifying. Glad you a okish. Do take time to heal, if you can gets some body work or chiropractic down the road might be helpful.

My dad was also in a crash last week, some dipstick girl came round a corner the wrong side of the road and they hit head on. He and his friend were okish, cracked ribs and whiplash etc but they are alive and when we saw the cars it was scary....

The girl had more serious injuries but will be ok, but everyone round here (small rural area) isn't surprised by her accident as they all knew her driving was shocking :-x

Please look after yourself.

Oh no! I hope you feel better soon! As tempting as it is to stitch, take your doctor's orders seriously. You'll be back to stitching in no time if you do. When you've healed up be sure to see a chiropractor or a good masseuse. You'd be surprised at how low cost some of them are, especially for fully clothed massages. It will make you feel loads better because your back is probably full of knotted and stiff muscles right now. But don't go to either the chiropractor or the masseuse until your doctor gives you the okay.
