*nods pathetically* I just wish I knew why progress on this was going so slowly but my bigger projects go so fast.

Plus I think that I'm going to have to frog some.
See my pattern calls for me to use three colours: 434,435,437 on my animal, but while 434 and 435 look good together, 437 can be seen from two miles away, it just doesnt blend with the other two, and I don't know whether to persevere with using it or to try and find a different shade.

On my frog, i didn't use the colours from the pattern as I didn't think they looked right, e.g The lily pad was supposed to be yellow. so I just used greens I had/liked.
Maybe you could look through your stash and match up the colour you feel would blend best with those you are using?

Oh dear.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

I had really intended to drop out of the next ATC. Summer is on its way, which means all people with vintage cars come out to play and visit fairs, where we then have to be so they can buy replacement parts from us for all those 80-year-old parts which keep dropping off their cars or exploding or falling to bits, which is all very nice because it pays for the bread and cheese and even the odd bit of stash (though I tend to fund that with occasional freelance translating and research work), but which doesn't leave an awful lot of time for stitching, so no ATC, and then....

I came across the perfect chart. Well, not quite perfect but with a few changes it will be. (Let's just say it would be a very good one for threadbear...) So now I'll have to join in -- what a shame :-) (Perhaps I can get some stitching done at the car fairs; I took my crochet last time, which prompted one of the (male) visitors to say that he'd never seen anyone knitting at the car fair :-))

I have done the planning. Just printed out the pattern. But before starting I have other things to finish... Noproblem, I still have time.

I can't start my new one for a bit yet.
I've got a vague idea, but the pattern I want to use is too big for the card, so will have to see if I can find a way to make smaller ... maybe use a different count.

I have the idea I want to use but I am still fiddleing with the chart to get it just right. I finished my Sparrows last night and I have another project in teh works so the ATC is on the back burner at the mo. Besides we are going to take a few months before starting so I have the time. 8)

Hey Jilly, I'm almost there. I worked through lunch the last two days and I finished the main part. I should be able to finish stitching tomorrow morning if the doggies get me up early enough! A bit of spacing and I should be ready to fly.

Okay, I'm done. I just have to finish the final finishing. It's drying to the front of the card as we speak. Should be able to complete everything later today.
