hehe I didn't really have a clue how to finish it either...and lost my scissors to trim in nicely. I got my glue gun out. Things stick nicely with a glue gun You should join in though.

I'm trying to get into the habbit of making all my stitches lay the same way. That's my major embarrassment for this one. The rose isn't smooth. but has my nice little fur effect

Talking of which ... I woke up this morning with rather a promising idea for an elongated cat design, so I skived off work (not quite so naughty as it sounds when you work from home ) and got out the squared paper and pencil. It didn't quite end up the way I'd first thought (I find designs do that, they sort of go their own way; has anyone else noticed this?) but I've now got a design with two long slender cats, one black and white and one ginger, with a top and bottom border of matching paw prints.

Now all I have to do is stitch it but I think I'd better finish the Britty kitty first, and possibly do a bit of kingfisher, oh and that brooch....

It may be a while before I get to send it out to you, Alyson

Anyway, if it works 'in the flesh' I'll post the design in the design-sharing thread for all cat lovers out there.
