Hooray!

Post by mvy_1 »

Congratulations. :D
I finally worked out how to do my Avatar. It has taken awhile to work it out and finally I have succeded. My chosen subject is for my 11 year old daughter Steph, who adores Puss in Boots from Shrek 2. She manages this look both at home and school when she wants something dearly. I love the look and my daughter very much.

Great avatar. (Good movie, too.) I bet everyone's avatar has a story.

He is really very cute, but so is Steph, especially when she does her 'Puss In Boots' look.
I bet everyone's avatar has a story.
It would be nice to know the story or reasons behind some of the Avatars that have been chosen.

My avatar is the Star of Feanor. Anyone who has read the book The Lord of the Rings (or seen the movies) will recognise the star from the centre of the great doors of Moria.

(Can't imagine why my sons call me a Tolkien geek...)

My avatar I chose from the gallery; don't know how to use an outside one, yet.

My avatar is Inuyasha the main character from the japanese anime cartoon Inuyasha. This is my all time fave cartoon. Hence my avatar and forum name

My avatar is from a freebie website wherer you can choose one avatar.

There are flowers, and other stuff but this one likes me in the moment that I saw it.
Maybe cause this forum is international, and it's a good symbol

I wanted to find a frog to post as my avatar but all the ones I found were so small they were hard to see. I had this picture from some other stuff I have done with scrap booking and she is so cute I chose her. Someday I will find my frog and then I will change to that.

I chose mine from a free clip art site. I have 3 cats and am constantly feeding strays out side my house ( one of which climbed the fence and casually wandered through the house last night. Luckily my DH saw it before any of our furry family did) so I thought that pic was just like me

A website for a good selection of avatars is http://www.zak-a-doodle-graphics.com/avatars/index.html. Also put avatars in your search engine and take it from there. There is plenty to choose from out there in cyberspace. And its not really that hard to attatch one either.

My avatar means "word" because in Russian the saying "words once spoken you can never recall" sounds like "word is a bird when flies out you will never return". I try to speak carefully because the forume gathers people of different ages and nationalities. If I write something roughly or untimely, please, don't judge me
A word is dead when it is said, some say.
I say it just begins to live that day.

Tesha your writing is just fine. I am sure it is very hard to tranlate to a foriegn language and some things just don't come across in the same way. This is not a problem we all understand and if we don't we will just ask you to try to explain. Don't worry. The avatar is beautiful and the meaning is even better. Continue to come and enjoy the forum we won't judge.
