Not on much

Post by Mabel Figworthy »

I've got my mother and two elderly aunts here for a week, so I won't be on much. We've had our first panic already :-) in that eldest aunt had forgotten to bring most of her medication -- which includes stuff for diabetes, high blood pressure, and Meniere's disease (which affects your inner ear and hence your balance)! So we had to see a doctor today and get emergency supplies, but apparently the tablest are produced in different dosages here compared to Holland, so we had quite a morning of it. Tomorrow we're taking them to Warwick Castle, and they also love to go to a car boot sale :-) so we'll have plenty to do. I'll pop in when I can!

Have fun with your family, Mabel!

Warwick castle eh? I love it there! Took my mum and my MIL there and they kept wandering off to look at things! It was so crowded the day we went we kept losing them! Should have had a balloon with 'I AM HERE' on it!! :balloons:
Learnt my lesson and bought one when we took them shopping!!

Just put them safely back on the coach to cath the plane, am now ready to collapse, but we had a lovely time, great weather, Warwick Castle was a great success as was the local car boot sale :-).

And Mum left me my early St Nicholas present, which meant I could go and order two of those fabulous pans -- one from her, one from me. I've gone for the small frying pan and the large shallow casserole (which is actually nearly 3 inches high, so not that shallow, and will replace my wok and large frying pan). Can't wait to try them when they get here!

Glad it all ended enjoyably. And what a wonderful mum! We shall require a report on those pans, I remember they did look nice!
