Hello from the Canadian Prairies...

Post by babyblueeyes »

Hi there everyone!

I thought it was about time I join a forum for my favourite hobby ever. I'm a 23 years old and live on my own, except for my gentlemanly cat named Tuxedo. He is a tuxedo cat for anyone who was wondering as well

Anyways I have been stitching for more than half my life...I started doing it from those awesome little dollar store kits when I was about 8 years old. I'm pretty well known in my circle for doing lots of stitching crafts but I by far prefer to do cross-stitching. I work in the Natural Health feild specializing in Chinese Medicines and love it as well.

I have an amazing mom and sister who are my best friends, and I just moved into a new apartment that I love for being cozy, yet big.

Anyways, I think that is enough from me. Hi to everyone and wherever you all are I hope you are having a good day/night!

P.S.- I know this is alread getting long but I have to give a shout out to any Kiwi cross stitchers. I did a year long exchange there in my grade 12th year and I have nothing but love for anyone from my second home :D

lol Yah, I mean they were VERY small and simple, hence why they were perfect for my mom to teach me with. She did cross stitching quite a bit so I am sure I would have learned eventually, but those little ones were even fun to do on our short family plane trips too!

Thanks for the welcome :)

Hello and welcome. We are glad to have you here with us. :)

How I wish I could have started being addicted to this hobby since childhood. I could have done so much more! But it's okay...I have no regrets as I'm having so much fun with it.
Happy stitching! :)

Hello everyone! I'm recently picked up a cottage one I have been working on for some time now. It's one of those projects that is relatively simple to do but somehow everytime I get around to picking it up, I find more mistakes I did that take so long just to get back on track. Argh, if it wasn't so cute I would just drop it and start something funner like a sampler :P

Hello and welcome!! I know the last time I was in one of our dollar stores they had a few cross stitch kits (to my amazement). Unfortunately nothing I would stitch, though. :?

haha when I was a kid I kept starting the same project over and over again.. I'd make a mistake, get so mad and leave it for awhile. Then when I wanted to start up again it seemed easier to start over. I still have the book with the pattern in it. It's something that would probably take an afternoon or what not.
