Great progress! Hahaha, I was just thinking the halos looked like mohicans and then I scrolled down and you'd put the same thing!
Shame about your sewing shoppe. Have you tried ordering DMC from ebay? I use a seller called "westbbc" - they do 5 skeins for £2 with free postage and the larger the quantity you buy, the cheaper you get. I think if you buy 50 at once they work out to be around 26p each even though they charge a bit of postage on larger amounts.
CURRENT WIPs
HAEDs - Bubble Telescope, Floatilla, Rainbow Embrace, Ray of Light, Iron Dragon, Newport Lighthouse
Fractal 239 Aero Chocolate
Sarah I used WestBBC too and with second class post it worked out to 28p per skein for 50. I only say used because I now have the full set I am waiting for them to start with the satins so I can order them too!
My local shop has the same issues with DMC although they still stock them at present but they have talked about changing. I don't mind hobbycraft as they cover such a wide range of crafts and have great range of frames (shape and size) and do carry great accessories! Give them a try if your local shop does close down!
I'll be checking out Hobbycraft when the new branch here opens, even if they're not very good for embroidery stuff they may be good for frames, as you say Nettie.

Absolutely gorgeous and that goes double for the other one! I feel a need to do a L & L design, they are so pretty, not that I need to start another one but you are not making it esy for me! Isn't it great when you can start putting colours away, you know you are just about there. Sew and So are fabulous but I use Leisurecrafts-Tewkesbury for my threads, they are 34p I have never been brave enough to go on e.bay for my threads, which one is the best and safest?
Happy Stitching

Doing the same one twice isn't so bad Liz, i did one in triplicate once, never again! Mind you, this pic has a lot of beads and back-stitching on, which the trippy didn't.
I've never got any sewing stuff from e-bay Glen, Sarah Gixxer does, she's the one to ask. [I'm gonna check out your leisurecrafts, sew & so have been out of stock of a few colours for me off late, too, the same as my local shop. /color]
