My old handcraft - knitting

Post by elin »

No longer a handcraft I can do :(
My left hand will not give me peace if I even look at it. Do not know how to explain it, but the whole hand is pain just after 10 minutes.

Most of my work is traditional designs in Norway.
Here you see some of the work I did before.

This is the last one I made. For my godchild, when I first time visited her.

For my youngest boy. 4 years ago

This one was for me. Made it about 8 years ago. It still keeps me warm.

The first cloth I made for my eldest son, now 15 years ago

And one more I made for my eldest. For his second winter

You've done some beautiful pieces! I'm sorry to hear that you can't continue because of your hands. On the bright side, you've found another craft that you can do.

Beautiful work - so sorry it hurts you to knit now. Is there any hope of improvement in your condition?

These are beautiful!

My MIL knit many hats and little suits for my boys when they were young, and I still have them all. They washed and wore so well, they will be around for another generation -- no time soon!!  :x: (just covering all bases...)

Thanks all of you

They seems to not really find what the reason is. I have been to all this tests and ultra sound. Even in the big machine (dont know the name in english  )
But I am not grieveing,, I have found replacements for it. Cross stitch and cakes is now all my life
I belive all things is in their time.. Also this.

Wonderful work. I also cannot knit or crochet any more because of hand problems. But cross stitch certainly makes up for it :D

 You can't knit anymore? Oh no! That is terrible! My shoulders bother me too, not to mention my hands. Somehow my hands still can hold on needles and I can still stitch those needlepoint projects of mine.
