Our "other" STASH!

Post by charmagne_capalad »

Hi!....I know we all LOVE xstitching...but we also enjoy other crafts as well....and relative to that we have other STASH (besides our most cherish xstitch stash, of course  )....

So, let me be the first to share my other craft and arts STASH....

First....will be my painting and drawing stash...there are my soft pastels, oil pastel, crayons, oil paints, brush pens, poster colors, fabric paints, sketch book, art books...etc...
Image

Next...will be my scrapbook stash...there are my scrapbook decors (with butterflies of course! ), glitter pens, art papers/boards, glue, scissors, cutters, highlighters, art pens (assorted)...etc...
Image

Next...will be my Winnie the Pooh stickers stash...I have to admit I'm really also addicted to this...I always buy whenever I see any Pooh stickers  ...so they really accumulated over time....
Image

And finally....my jewelry accessories stash...I have swarovski crystals, glass beads, wooden beads, murano beads, assorted plastic beads, assorted silver accents, long nose pliers, asstd. chords...etc....
Image

In addition to this...I also have my horror pocketbooks and VCD/DVD collections...sorry, I haven't got any pic taken yet....maybe later... :thinks:

So, there....hope to see some of your stash, too.... :)

Wow, that's a lot! They should keep you really busy!
If you need my help in sorting them, I can come over

I don't really have any other stash, I used to have a lot of yarn for knitting, but there was a long pause in my knitting, so they got used up or thrown away. Now I have to rebuild it, but knitting yarn is really horribly expensive at the moment.

That's alot!!

I have a tackle box full of beads, it's a bag with 6 of the clear sorters. I have a tons of acrylic paints, stamps, stencils and brushes to paint frames for my xstitch and other things for my kids. I also have a small thing of scrapbook stuff. I haven't really gotten into the scrapbooking yet but once I get a better photo printer it'll start to stack up. I've got a three drawer organizer full of xstitch stuff and then some. I've also been wanting to get into building R/C galleons. I just need more room to put them when I'm done.

Galleons like this. But this one isn't mine. It was built by a man that (I think) is local. Or at least he was at the boat show a couple of weekends ago so if he's not local he's close. If you've seen Pirates of the Carribean you might recognize it as the Inteceptor. They used it for the movie.

This is my galleon, but I didn't build it, it was bought ready-to-run. My hubby got it for my for Mother's Day. :D

I don't really have any other stash, because I don't really have any other hobbies. My mum had an impressive stash of art materials, mostly paints and brushes. The most impressive stash I've ever seen was my grandmother's. She knitted, sewed, embroidered, and painted. Her stash filled a wardrobe.

Thats a lot of stash you all have. I also have loads of 'other' stash. I shall have to photograph it all for you but I am back at work tomorrow so it might have to wait til the weekend! But Just for a tease I have stash in all of the following.... rug making, card making and scrap booking, knitting/crochet, jewelery making, cross stitch (of course), painting/drawing and patchwork/quilting. If I think of any more then I'll pop it in!....

Mmmm stash - I love it! Being a true hoarder I have quite a bit - cross stitch is the biggest, but then there the patchwork stash, candle making stash, tapestry stash and card making stash, not to mention the cake recipe stash I am slowly building and the dress making stash I found whilst clearing out the other day  I'd forgotten about that one!

I would not dare to get the stash out for all of the crafts that I either do or intend to do in order to take photos as I know that I would never be able to fit things back into the cupboards again.

I have some small amounts of stash for other crafts. Some crochet and some scrapbooking even though I haven't really gotten into either one. Besides cross stitching, my cake decorating stash is pretty good size, but my mom has more of it at her house since we don't have much storage. I think I actually have about the same amount or more stash of our plastercraft painting stuff--things to paint, paint, brushes, etc. If I get around to it, I'll take a pic soon.

It's so good to know I'm, not the only one who hoards STUFF.
I love anything pretty so have loads of threads, beads, materials etc just for the sake of it. I keep meaning to make jewellery and machine sew and machine embroider etc etc but the stash just keeps getting bigger. Will have to take photos some time. I still have some materials left over from clothes I made my daughter when she was little, she's 31 now. See what I mean??
