Celtic Cross

Post by Anna114 »

Here's my tribute to my brother that I lost weeks before his 50th birthday in 2011. I added the words "in heaven" My husband wasn't a fan of me adding the words but for me it was a personal choice. The piece is 11x8 unframed. I think I will triple mat it with navy, burgundy and hunter. Not a larger boarder, but I would like to bring out those colors. I have always liked that color combination.

That's beautiful, and a great tribute. The mat colours will be perfect to pick up the colours you have used. :applesauce:

 That is oh so beautiful and what a lovely tribute to your brother. Love the colours in this one and your idea of a triple matt will set them off wonderfully well. Thank you for sharing this lovely tribute. :D

Thanks everyone for your very kind responses. Oddly this is one piece I was a little sad to finish. I had started it April 24 and felt committed to finishing it quickly.. no idea why. My Mom's piece won't be ready for a long time. I'm doing Silver Lining's Peace Rose and the piece is huge with a lot of color changes. I do pieces in between, that are easier and a little less mind bending lol. I will post when I've had it framed. Thank you again for all of your kind words.
