My lovely 11 year old daughter finally wanted me to teach her to stitch.
she picked a cute freebie of 3 tulips and after 1 hr she completed her first one!
she's very proud and we chatted about slang terms like froggin'..she got a kick out of that..lol..she won't when she has to though..
then she had the nerve to start thumbin through my stash!!!
told her to get her own..lol

O, C_F that's really nice having to share your hobby with your very own daughter. How I would love to dream about that! So sad that I don't have a daughter to share it with

yeah she keeps asking me if she can get out her project..only problem is her 2 yo brother always has to be in whatever she's doing..so she won't be able to concentrate..lol..
he seems to leave me alone with I stitch..just likes to sit next to me and watch..but he'd be climbing all over her..lol..
oh and it took her an hour to do that one so I'm thinking another 3 hrs worth of work and she should be done!

Congratulations to your daughter C_F and to you as well! You've brought the craft to another generation. Yeah! Her work is lovely (I'm not surprised considering who taught her ) and I hope this becomes a lifelong passion for her as well. Give her "good work" hugs from me.
That's lovely, C_F -- you must be so proud of her! And it's so neatly done for a first project; she's obviously been observing her mother very closely all this time
