L*K Fat Men Flip it Series - Hanging Complete Just In Time!

Post by starshine123102 »

IT CAME IN!!!!! I'm so excited to get started on this project!

Image

When I opened the package and saw how large the fabric was I had a small melt down and thought that I'd NEVER get this project done in time for Christmas! But looking through the patterns, I've realized that they really are small and seem very doable.

I was going to try gridding to see if it helped me stitch faster, but I didn't even finish one strand before I gave up and realized I was wasting precious stitchy time while the BF if out for the day. I'm going to start by putting in all of the borders to get the basic layout, then go back and do the actual designs.

:applesauce: :applesauce: That is going to be so much fun to stitch. I think your idea of doing the borders and laying out the piece that way is an excellent idea. It will make it much easier to stitch after that. And, if you are anything like me, keep you from worrying that everything won't fit. I can't wait to see your first update!

Very cool!
I'm patiently waiting for the patterns to come in so I can go get the floss I need. I'm going to do them in dmc floss but I need the chart for a Snowed In as it's the one I'm planning on taking overseas with me. Would you happen to have the list of dmc colors for that one that you can PM me?

Here's the first bit. I've completed the borders on 3 of the six designs. Hopefully I can find a way to work on it again tomorrow while the BF does homework, but I'm too scared to have him catch me working on it!

This one is going to be interesting to watch, all of that was just one kit? Or did you buy several and putting them together yourself?

I have them all, so can help with this request if it hasn't already been done.

ETA - just realised, the charts are now being sent to NZ!! I have the thread numbers, but it's for all the charts, I couldn't identify a particular chart list, sorry!

Borgessa, it's 6 small charts that you kit up yourself and you can stitch as individuals or as one bigger piece. The designer also provides a free chart to help you if you want to follow her lead of doing it as one piece.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Great start! Maybe you could have another piece near you that you can pick up and work on if your bf takes a break from homework. Does he pay a lot of attention to what you are stitching?
