Squizzers

Post by gparr »

Couldn't find a thread about Squizzers. Based on Mabel's comments, it appears I cannot function without them. ;) Here's the website: http://www.squizzers.com/" target="_blank

It doesn't appear they sell them directly. What is the best source and what model should I buy?

Well, obviously I'm a bit biased :-) but you can get them from me. They look a bit different from the ones on the website you mention, though. If you want to see the type of squissors that are most widely available, either plain or titanium coated, and how they are used, there's a bit on my blog you may find helpful (or did you see that already, hence your initial comment :-)?). If you'd like to buy from the US I'm sure some compatriot stitchers will be able to suggest stores that stock them.

Mabel, didn't realize details existed on your blog. Headed there now and will return a more-educated individual.

I didnt get mine from Mabel (will do if I ever loose them!!) but they look exactly the same and I love them. I tend to keep them only for hardanger though or for emergency snipping needs on cross stitch that normal scissors can't cope with.

Manel, It probably doesn't make money sense to buy from you and have them shipped overseas but where on your site are you selling them?

I am currently awaiting my post man with bated breath too Gary my (Mabel) squissors were ordered on thursday last and coz of the double bank holiday its agony lol the Sal is brilliant introducing a whole new style of stitching and if you have seen the gallery on Mabels web site you will see just how many ways there are to interpret the given instructions, its brilliant to be part of something so many are taking part in :)

I agree with Karen. You will love the squissors when you start cutting the Hardanger designs. I got mine from Mabel and LOVE them. Glad you are joining us in the SAL. I have found it to be a lot of fun. I love the learning and the stitching and how amazing it is to see how different the same designs are because of the wide variety of colors and combinations used.

I'm just working for the good of the stitching community. Though, at this rate, I'm going to have to talk to Mabel about some kind of commission arrangement.
