Titanic SAL
I've already started a new mini-project, but haven't uploaded the progress pics yet...
It's a free design from the DMC-USA.com website (but you have to sign up for free membership to be able to access it.
Here's a screenshot of the finished design. (I'll post my progress pics asap)

I thought this one would be a relatively simple second project so that i could have short breaks from the Snow Leopard design.Mabel Figworthy wrote:You do like a challenge, don't you ? Good luck, it's a stunning design!
(I've also got plans for some small 3-5 inch designs of Welsh castles that I hope to use as my introduction to evenweave)

I was contemplating a titanic design for hubby as he loves steam trains/ titanic and all that sort of thing, but at anyrate the chart I have is a magazine freebie. I've seen it as picture loads of times. I might try it one day.
I like your titanic design there Daz and it will make a lovely change from the snow leopard colour wise as well.
This and the castles are really nice choices.
*settles self down to watch for progress reports*

I've been thinking about sth like that as well, bit later though as DH likes thirties design so I thought if I couldn't get our little Austin Seven I might go for some other vintage transport and on the Craft Fair I found~threadbear~ wrote:I was contemplating a titanic design for hubby as he loves steam trains/ titanic and all that sort of thing
County Needlecraft's Art Deco poster designs, of a train, plane, ship and cars -- what i liked about them is that they are very effective but quite simple, and they come as charts as well as kits (very useful when you've got quite a bit of stash already).
Perhaps this could be sth for you too, threadbear?

Mini update (with pic taken this morning). I didn't manage to do much last night, just fill in the bits of missing sky on the left, and mark out the edges of the coloured section of sky...
EDIT : for the record, the pic looks slightly distorted due to a crease in the material, because the arc really is a smooth looking curve.
(Well, at least the blue pink and yellow of the sky shows up slightly better in this pic.... and the area immediately under the arc will be another slightly different shade of blue)
