need chart for cocoa can w/daisies (it may be another flower

Post by sable51 »

About 20 years ago, I had a pattern with a cocoa can and daisies or chrysanthemums (I think, it may have been another flower) I am pretty sure that it was in a book, but not a magazine. I don't remember if it had a saying on the picture or not. I would like to get some information to purchase the chart or the book.

Thanks for any help....Diane

Thanks guys for giving my request a shot! It would be really great if you were to find that pattern for me. I always intended to make that for my mother, as she was always cooking and I remember her using the Hershey's cocoa. Diane :)

I don't remember that the word 'Hershey' was on the can. I do believe that the can was a deep brown, giving the impression of a Hershey cocoa can. I am pretty sure that the can was the square one that was standard for the Hershey can. For some reason 'Mom's cocoa' keeps sticking in my mind. I live in Georgia, USA and I am pretty sure that I purchased the book from a local store. I know that I had a lot of Dale Burdett's books at that time, and also several of Designs by Pat & Gloria. It could have been either of those authors, but it could have been some one else. I know that at one time I had a lot of the Stoney Creek books, leaflets, and magazines. But I don't think that this picture in their style. I don't remember any thing else in there. I know that I had that one marked to do 'someday!' I still believe that it was in a book not a magazine, but it could have been in a mgagazine. Thanks for all your help everyone! Diane

Hey, guys

That pattern was a black and white one. It was not done in the colored squares. Maybe that will help? Thanks again, Diane

That leads me more to a book or a leaflet then. The mags are usually in colors.

Thanks everyone!
If you want some chocolate recipes I will be glad to give you some of the ones that my mama made! lol Of course, I don't need them either! And her coconut cake was to die for! That is one of those recipes that you only have once or twice a year and then you need a bunch of people to help you eat it so that you don't end up the whole cake by yourself. :) Thanks again for everyone's efforts. I just got to thinking about that pattern the other day and wishing that I had made the pattern a long time ago. Diane
