Hello, new to forum... but need help

Post by purpurpurea »

Hello everyone,

As I said I'm new to the forum. I need help in locating a standing cross stitch frame that has a width of at least 36 inches long, I've tried e-bay and the longest I have found so far is 30 inches

Any help will be much appreciated :D

Hi purpurpurea, welcome to the forum.
Try 'Sew Essential' Elbesee floor standing roller tapestry frame, they have one 36" £36.98p.

Hello and welcome :D

I don't use a stand or frame myself so I wouldn't know what best to look for. Hope you find what you are looking for.

Hope to see you again

Hi and a big welcome to you!!!

Have you looked at a Stichmaster standing frame? The arms are adjustable and will take a 36 inch frame. It also has a light, magnifier and chart holder attachments. I have one and I've used a frame that big on it.
A stitch in time is my idea of a perfect day!

Hi and welcome,
I also remember hearing of someone that used dowels from a local home depot type of place to make longer scrolls.

:P Hi and welcome to the site i like u r new to this site and i wish you all the luck in the world you will get some useful hints n tips here. If you want a standing frame and if you already have a frame what you hold see if someone you know can make a stand for it, my fella made mine for less than half the price you would buy one and i can change the size of the frame i put in it too as it comes apart. love sue xxxx

Hello from Austria! Can't help you with the standing frame cause I've never used one. But you've got a lot of tips so far.

I've heard good things about Siesta, so that's great news. And what a good price! Let us know what it's actually like - who knows, they might get more orders!
