Hurray for Angel! :applesauce: You are really good for your first attempt! :) Some of my friends can't get the colors inside the borders.

The supplies are really expensive...I have a 40 piece set. It's Faber Castel brand and they are really of good quality. Just keep on doing it and you'll master the art of it in no time....you have done a very good start! :applesauce:

Take care!

Faber castel are a very good brand. I keep trying to stock up on their markers but wow are they expensive. But so much better than my 99p set of 60 pens that run out before I've finished one picture :P

hehe well it was only my second drawing of a lupe (A wolf thing from neopets.com)...my second drawing of any animal really. I apparently pick things up really easily. It scares some people. But I doubt I'll be continuing my experimentation with them. I still prefer pencils for colouring with because I can do a ot more with them with ease, my only problem with pencils is that the colours aren't bright enough like with pastels/pens/markers. So I keep exploring new media and sometimes I stick with it (like CGing) and sometimes I abandon it (Like pastels).

Maybe I'll think about doing it again if I can ever find a very cheap kids colouring book. They're marvelous for practicing colouring in without ruining your own drawings :P I used to use them a lot but haven't been near anywhere that sells them in years.

Have you tried printing coloring pages off the internet? (Sorry I just ran across this thread.) There are a lot of sites out there with free coloring pages.

Great idea! Free colouring-in pages are known as "printables", if you want to plug it into Google.

Charmagne: lovely work, very atmospheric. I'm no artist at all and am always in awe of those, like you, who have a creative ability .

Hi there!

I have made a new one as a "break" from my WIP Golden Pair...and I entitled it ..."inside the forest"..
Image

...and I dug this one out of my storage...it's a bit old...it's dated way back in 1995...it's a song entitled "I Love You...Goodbye"...I forgot who sang the original version  ...I sketched a brookside view at the side and used colored pencils to finish...

I hope you enjoyed them...

They're both lovely, and the illustration to the song is so delicate -- wonderful!

 ........

Please teach me! :D

I love calm, quiet pictoresque scenes, and these look stunning. I love watching Bob Ross (dunno if anyone has heard if him), is it easy to learn? Because I would love to be able to create pieces like those

I think it'd be lovely to do a range of pieces with song lyrics :D

Thank you so much!

...and Jess, the soft oil pastel is easy to use...you just have to control the shading effects as it smudges easily...if you're familiar with pencil shading then you can very much do it! I suggest that you give it a try and pratice often... :)
