New Year, new stash!

This will be our new thread for anything we want to share with others as far as items we buy or are sent to us in the mail or traded among members.

I have placed my first order of the year.

Went to start a SAL from a Facebook group and realized the material I ordered in September is to small. I reread all the instructions….and it’s my own fault.

I blame our very own Wombat.

Soon I will be the owner of a second Lowery stand.....

Partly because it means I can use one in each of my two stitching places, partly because I think together they will hold my large slate frame more comfortably than the trestles (or rather, I will be able to sit with my legs tucked under the frame more comfortably).

It's also tax efficient because it goes on Mabel expenses!

I haven't bought anything this year. I'm going to try really hard to stitch from stash as much as possible. I have several WIP and even more charts and kits I want to work on. I didn't get much done last year and hope to change that this year.

I am waiting for two OwlForest packages. One should have been here as a redelivery on Friday, but the Post Office failed me. This is after it sat in Chicago for almost a month. The second one is in New York and has been for a few days. It will eventually get here.

So far I also haven't bought anything this year. I expect I will have to do another wedding sampler later this year. I am planning (hoping?) to only have to replace threads and maybe fabric, but so many UFO's and the afghan to work on. Not a New Year's resolution since they get broken, but .....

My New Year's Resolution has generally been Not To Make Resolutions - but if I do, they tend to be of the "I resolve to enjoy time with my family more" or "I resolve to enjoy my hobby without feeling guilty about it"!

So I have an order coming from Lakeside soon ... waiting on two rolls of evenweave arriving from DMC ... I had planned on starting Daffodil Blooms after Sweet Peas but now I've fallen in love with this new one from Bothy which will be coming out in February Oh what to do? Not enough hours, days, weeks, months of the year for this hobby!
