Nautical Nephew Birth Record - Update June 20th

My focus wandered from cross stitching. The house has been scrubbed. The laundry and dishes are in order. The trouble is a clean dish is temporary and fleeting. A stitch on canvas lasts longer. Sometimes I think I like stitching because I can be proud of my work and it won't come undone by day to day living.

Nautical nephew arrives in less than a month! I still have hopes I will finish the birth record before he arrives so I only have his name and details left.

The tricky part is I have another nephew due in September. That is dinosaur nephew. I haven't settled on a pattern yet.

I am trying to stitch as often as I am able. The first nephew is due August 18th. When August began on Monday I felt a little panicked. I still think I can complete the record and have it waiting for the name and details.

The baby is due on the 18th! I have only one more row of shells to stitch. I scrubbed the house down before lunch today and I have been stitching all day. I am determined! These pictures are from last night.

The design is complete! The baby was born on August 17th. A healthy baby boy! Now to stitch the details.



My mother made the afgan. This is her fourth grandchild and she is so excited!
