I like how it moves when you put your cursor over it. It's cute!Genevieve wrote:That's going to be really nice - I'm looking forward to seeing it progress.
BTW where did you get that lovely little cat from? It's so cute - and I really like statement underneath. How very true!

Re: Needlepoint
Looking good! Hope your threads arrive soon.
Taking on someone else's work can be a real challenge - nobody ever stitches to the same tension you do yourself, so you have to adapt yourself to theirs, so as not to mess up! Well done, you!

Re: Needlepoint
I hope all has gone well for you, guys. I'm so behind on my schedule you have no idea! But now I think I'm going to catch up. I got one item from my trustworthy framer, and took him another one to work on. I have done my part, now it is his turn to do his. I don't know, what he thinks of it, but I believe he knows, what kind of frame is the best.

Re: Needlepoint
After my latest post here I have stitched up a storm. At least 3 canvases are there on their framing journey. I don't know when they come home again, but when they do, they may travel right away to their new, permanent homes.

Re: Needlepoint
Those pictures are pretty & hope you get the tapestry canvases back again soon. Once they are framed I am sure they will look great. When canvases are framed they usually look nicer. I do tapestry & long stitch too but have not done any canvas work since I got into x-stitch just under a year ago. Have several in stash cupboard though Look forward to seeing pictures again once you have them home from framers

Well, the framed projects found their new home. But now a mountain of needlepoint is falling over me again.

I hate to tell you this, but this is the only way I am able to let you see, what my current needlepoint WIP is. If a mod knows what to change, she or he has my permission, but this is how far my skills reach.

Lovely update!! The link you posted works fine. I'm not familiar with how Flickr works, so I don't know how to post the picture directly, but clicking on the link takes you right to it. And I'm so glad that you shared this beautiful piece with us.

Re: Needlepoint
Thank you for your lovely words. And yesterday I finally found the right command! I am so relieved! Photobucket and I are not best of friends but we get along.
I've stitched even today, but it's just brown, simple, boring brown. I don't want to bore you to death with such updates. The outer border has gotten some more brown.

Awww, ladies! You're the best! The boring brown keeps going, because I must make sure the canvas doesn't unravel itself during the stitching the actual picture.

Re: Needlepoint
Hi!
I haven't stitched for a while. I've been knitting up a storm lately. But I can show you something I wish I am able to stitch soon again.

Re: Needlepoint
Hope you get to this one soon. I'm sure it will be fun to stitch. In the meantime, you can always show us some of your knitting. That's a craft I tried many many years ago. too many stitches to keep track of. I guess that is why I crocheted for years and now stitch. One stitch at a time!

Re: Needlepoint
Yep. And if you wonder, how that picture is so sharp...I can tell you a little secret. I have a scanner now. Yes, a scanner and a printer, both in the same device. The swan one is too big to scan, but the Lion King fits just fine. Unfortunately the corners curl so badly it may disturb you. But I am sorry I can't reverse that. Only that trustworthy Framing Man knows what to do. and he knows how to tame that LK as well.

I love this! You get so many pretty designs with needlepoint compared to cross stitch. I'm looking forward to the next update!

Re: Needlepoint
Well, I had promised myself I'll finish every stitch of my knitting projects first before diving into needlepoint again, but I also had another project on my mind. A spinning one. I wanted to surprise someone. I spun like a wind, and that may have been a mistake. My neck became so sore I had to leave my knitting aside and move to needlepoint - for a while.

Re: Needlepoint
Very nice! I tend to overdo as well and have to keep switching my crafts around. I'm currently resting my bursitis afflicted shoulder by doing things besides crocheting or cross stitching.
