I finished another gate, and the flowers to either side! On these you can see two of the urns that go in each of the corners as well. I'm starting to get a bit bored with this particular part of the pattern, so I'll be glad when it's done and I can move on to the fancy stitches.

The whole side...

Awesome progress!! I'm slowwwwly doing the Caribbean and I get bored with the repetitive sections as well even though that's part of what makes Chatelaines so beautiful.

The repetitiveness is part of the reason I did the urns now. I was going to wait until I'd done all the gates and do them last, but I really needed something a little different every once in awhile. I was slow to update on here, so I've actually already finished another gate and the flowers on one side of it, so the finish line really is in sight! The flowers are really the part that gets annoying. They look great, but there are more color changes than you think and a lot of that area is filled in with stitches.

It looks absolutely lovely!! :applesauce: I agree that the repetition of the design (even if the colors are a little different) can be tedious but it is a large part of what makes these such lovely designs. You are doing a beautiful job of stitching!

:whoop: :applesauce: :applesauce: You are doing wonderfully well with this lovely Chat. Yes the repetition is boring/maddening but it does make the design so gorgeous. A fabulous update. :tizzy:

Yes, there are some areas just like this that are next for mine. You'd never know by looking, but there are a thousand color changes in each area of solid stitching. It's almost confetti.

Anyway, congratulations on spotting your finish line!

:applesauce: :applesauce: Stunning! The "tedium" of all those flowers was more than worth it. Gorgeous!

Beautiful!! Have fun with the fancy stitches. I despised fancy stitches until I started my Chatelaine and now I love them. I generally add them into anything I'm doing whether it calls for it or not. You can even do some on Aida.

Everything but beading in the center section is done! I'm really loving the fancy stitches. I don't want to put it down to do the school work I should be doing but I do eventually
