color advice

Hi

I want some advice on what color to use instead of green for this dragon:

As you can see in the original pattern there are some parts in green, but I made the dragon on a green background, so I was thinking about using brown or maybe a darker green instead. Let me know what you think!!!

If it was me i would use a deep green something like 319 or 500 or 895.

I like bling so I'd use a deep gold or an old gold metallic thread.

And another bling vote here!! And if you don't want "bling" then I think a really deep green like DMC 890, 895, or 986

I like bling as well! Or even doing the wing veins with beads!

You could use a deep red or burgundy colour for the wings and toes? Or even a blue. Maybe get several skeins of different colours and lay them over the wing to see what you like the best.

I like both ideas of bling and a dark green. Combine them? I like to add a strand of Krenik blending filament with my floss sometimes in places where I want just a little bit of bling. It doesn't dominate the piece that way, but it does catch the light here and there.

Hi everyone!!!

I wil try with a very dark purple /or blue DMC 823, and see how it looks, I live in Peru so the store where I usually buy the colors only had blinging purple and blue and didnt quite look ok for this dragon, hopefully I finish soon and I'll show you the results, thanks!!!
