Re: Everything Computers Bingo-Saturday very early:
Yesterday was so late I decided to do today early-ish. We’ve had lots popping up around here! Had my son roll again & here are the 2 he got:
12 ENIAC
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eniac" target="_blank
ENIAC=Electronic Numerical Integrator And Computer was the first electronic general-purpose computer. It was Turing-complete, digital, and capable of being reprogrammed to solve a full range of computing problems.
ENIAC was designed to calculate artillery firing tables for the United States Army's Ballistic Research Laboratory. When ENIAC was announced in 1946 it was heralded in the press as a "Giant Brain". It boasted speeds one thousand times faster than electro-mechanical machines, a leap in computing power that no single machine has since matched. This mathematical power, coupled with general-purpose programmability, excited scientists and industrialists. The inventors promoted the spread of these new ideas by conducting a series of lectures on computer architecture.
24 Star Trek inspired inventions
For this little gem I’m going to cheat & post an image I was MOST impressed with (what can I say, I impress VERY easily appearantly?)

Re: Everything Computers Bingo-Saturday very early:
Darn, none for me again today!
I'm enjoying watching Star Trek at the moment, never having been a fan though I did see the odd Voyager. Now I'm watching a Voyager a day and two Next Generations and loving it. Shame I've not found Deep space Nine on TV, and I joined Love Film hoping they'd have it but they don't. The DVD's are so expensive

Re: Everything Computers Bingo-Sundays #'s are here:
Day 6’s picks. I’m posting early because I won’t be home from church until after noon.
21 Ram Memory
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Random-access_memory" target="_blank" target="_blank
Random-access memory (RAM) is a form of computer data storage. A random-access device allows stored data to be accessed in very nearly the same amount of time for any storage location, so data can be accessed quickly in any random order. In contrast, other data storage media such as hard disks, CDs, DVDs and magnetic tape, as well as early primary memory types such as drum memory, read and write data only in a predetermined order, consecutively, because of mechanical design limitations. Therefore the time to access a given data location varies significantly depending on its physical location.
30 Wireless mouse & keyboard
So Wikipedia doesn’t have pages for wireless mouses & keyboards per say, but the mouse page does include this paragraph:
Cordless or wireless mice transmit data via infrared radiation (see IrDA) or radio (including Bluetooth). The receiver is connected to the computer through a serial or USB port, or can be built in (as is sometimes the case with Bluetooth). Modern non-Bluetooth wireless mice use USB receivers. Some of these can be stored inside the mouse for safe transport while not in use, while other, newer mice use newer "nano" receivers, designed to be small enough to remain plugged into a laptop during transport, while still being large enough to easily remove.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_m ... r_wireless" target="_blank" target="_blank
Funny but they do refer to multiple mouse as mice and not mouses…I had this one computer teacher ADAMENTLY tell me the multiple is mouses, people can be so funny!

Keeping with my steady but probably too slow pace to win, a wireless mouse (which I have and love) works fine. 6/10

Re: Everything Computers Bingo-Sundays #'s are here:
Hurray another one -#30 - I much prefer wireless computers but the computer boss here doesn't so there are wires all over the place at the back.
Still its great to have another one to add to the list - now 4/10
