hi y'all

Post by merbs »

Hi, I'm Mary Beth, 40, from Savannah, Georgia. Been stitching off and on since I was a teen. I dabble in other crafts but always come back to cross stitch.

Mostly, I do it for myself but have given some as gifts(usually my mom).My biggest bad habit with stitching is never doing anything with the finished product, especially the ones that don't fit in the usual size frames. After many years of them being packed away, I now atleast have them out and tacked to wall in my laundry room. Maybe constantly seeing them will prompt me into action.

My current project is Dimensions "Travel Memories"....a butterfly with the Eiffel Tower in background. Never been to Paris, just like the the picture.

I also enjoy reading, jigsaw puzzles, games on pogo.com, and daydreaming of winning the lotto...lol.
~~mb~~
I chose the road less traveled. Now where the heck am I?

Hi Mary Beth, Welcome to the forum :D
I am just the same with my completed items, I have a drawer full of rolled up projects, all waiting for my attention, I have a list of sizes that I carry around with me just in case I fine that elusive size of frame
I Know the kit you are working on, it's lovely, put it in the Stitch-a-long section, we love having a look at growing projects :D
Join in and have fun.

Hello merbs and welcome :D

I have only got one or two bits and pieces that I haven't made into anything - I usually have a plan in mind when I start a new project. (Oh aren't I boring  but then I'm a slow stitcher)

Do join in - we have a lot of fun here. :D

Hi Mary Beth and welcome to the forum.

Very envious that you live in Savannah - what a beautiful place! Only spent 4 days there but wish it had been longer. I absolutely loved it! Not sure I could deal with the heat every year mind you! Far too used to our miserable rainy days!

Can't wait to see your work - we're quite a nosey bunch, so feel free to show us what you've done! :D

Good to have you with us x

Hello Mary Beth and another warm welcome. It's lovely to see this community growing daily. It's great to have a place to talk about stitching with other like minded people (my husband's eyes have a funny habit of glazing over if I try to talk to him about cross stitch!). Looking forward to seeing your work in progress and do put all your finished pieces in your gallery. Like you mine are also rolled up waiting to be framed someday :)
