Finally starting a SAL for this HAED I was gifted a couple of years ago!

I have the HAED version which has now been discontinued but this is what the monster will look like when I finish it (from another website) https://www.painefreecrafts.com/product ... daetwiler/

I forget the finished size but I did ask for advice on sizing before ordering the fabric so it's around here somewhere.

This is page one of 74 I think  I'm stitching 1 over 1 on 32 count fabric. Its.....a lot. And I did stitch about 1000 stitches in the wrong colour. I couldnt frog them so I just stitched over them with the correct colour and now we are back on track.

I've had this on the backburner for months and months because of the error and I was struggling to see the holes with my new prescription (I changed opticians over covid and the new ones don't compensate for my stitching ). I have now caved and bought a magnifyer with an led light and omg the difference! It is once again a joy to stitch and I cant get enough!

The trouble now is my arms arent used to all the stitching and are aching, and I don't have much stitchy time since I got my dream job on full time hours! I'm hoping the magnifyer makes it easier to do an hour or so in the evenings again

That is oine BIG project  But you've made a great start, and well done you for not being discouraged by that wrong-colour hitch but tackling it and overcoming it!

It’s pretty, and well done for not being defeated by the wrong color or your dream job.

Wowser! That's one big project! But it will be worth it.

Yes, magnifiers are wonderful -- I've used one for years and couldn't stitch fine counted work without now. Glad you both have your dream job and your stitchy bug in residence.

What a great start on a great big design!
I love the blues in it and I look forward to seeing more updates on it.

I finally have an update on this!!!!! AND its a page finish! woohoo!

so this is page 1 of 72 - blimey!

this went on hiatus for a while cause I was having trouble running bluestacks on my (old!) laptop - Pattern Keeper runs, but not as well, through the emulator and its very laggy when trying to move around the pattern or mark this as done, and trying to import the pattern files is a nightmare. So I got a new tablet for my birthday yesterday, got home from dinner with the family and set about getting sorted on that. I LOVE it, and it is so much easier. I got PK installed last night and imported my pattern file, but was unable to import the progress file  so spent a half hour ish makring everything off manually on the new device. FInished that this morning and moved back to stitching. According to PK my stitch count for today is 1076   I wish! most of that was filling in the old stitches.

I am hoping having an easier device will allow me to do bits here and there rather than having to arrange a whole day to stitch (cause PK was so clunky short periods just werent worth it) but now i am split between wanting to be in the garden, spinning, and stitching.

Has anybody invented a way to duplicate themselves yet to do all the things?

Well done! And quite a nice present that will allow you to get on with the stitching (and keeping track -- a Real Thing with these big designs). It's all looking good!
