Cat sugar skull-FRAMED Dec 22

Hi all. I'm back cross stitching after not doing it for about a year. I got this pattern on Etsy and started it yesterday. It's all cross stitch but I'm going to try to work in some specialty stitches. I think I might do the background of the face in satin at least and add some beads and metallics. It's DMC on some type of linen I got at the craft store and the pattern on Etsy at Hank's Pattern Place. He also has a bear skull I'd like to do.

What a great project! I have a sugar skull pattern from I think the same Etsy seller. Mine is for a chihuahua for a present. Fun!

Thank you both! I adore sugar skulls. I'd like a whole collection of them. But I have soooo many WIPs already.
Coolpenguin, I saw that chihuahua and might add him to my list along with the bear. They're so cute!

Rather neat, but sinister, too...

Actually I'm leaving the fangs off.

When I was scrolling down, I was thinking what an unusual and cute kitty...then bam! Fangs! If I have bad dreams tonight, it's all your fault.

FCCS, I hope your dreams weren't frightening.
Small update. I've haven't been feeling well in addition to switching back and forth between this and my Chatelaine so it's only a small amount done on each. And I had to frog a section in the middle of this.

Thanks so much for sharing! I've never heard of these, but have found a few nifty patterns on Etsy and some from Prairie Moon designs, too. OOOOH, new fun things!

Finally finished! I'm going to frame it in white. The pattern called for the face background to be stitched but I like it as-is.
