I just thought it would be a good idea to have all the information in one place so people aren't scrolling through the stickied thread for this rounds information. And you're all welcome to post pictures here too.

Host Angel
Charity Cancer research Foundation
Deadline There isn't really a deadline, just let me know if you're going to be making a card for this and I'll send everything off once we get all the cards through.
Limit You can make as many cards for this as you like.
Theme Summery and cheerful
Size An A6 size card would probebly be best.
Please include It would be great if on the back of your card you could write "stitched with love from the ladies of crossstitchforum.com"
Please include an envelope with your card
Angels Address Just PM me when you need it and I'll send you my address ^_^
SusanF wrote: If anyone would like me to, I'd like to offer to make up the cards for anyone who doesn't want to do this on their own. I am able to print the details on the back of the card (and a greeting on the front if you want) and will include an envelope and a cello bag to put it in. I would then pass them on to Angel.

The cardstock is first class quality and used for all the cards sold on my greetings card web site. The cards are double fold and are a standard A6 size when folded. There are two options for the aperture - circular diameter 72mm and square 76 x 76 mm. Your design would need to fit into this area, although your fabric needs to be at least 1cm larger so that I can stick the fabric inside the card. Later tonight, if you think this idea would work.

the size of the stitching is a maximum of 40 x 40 stitches at 14 count (maybe someone else can work it out for other fabric too?). So the fabric you work on needs to be at least 90mm square for either the square or the round aperture card so that I've got room to adhere the stitching to the inside of the card.

If anyone wants me to do this, please pm me to get my address
Ok, I think that's everything you need to know, feel free to ask. I'll put the answer to every question I get on this first post.

I'll send you the two peony cards -- at the moment they haven't got any text on them, would you like me to write "Happy Birthday" or "Get Well Soon" on it with calligraphy pens?

Query -- is there a single verb that you can use for this, e.g. 'would you like me to calligraph them?'

In short, no. Although "calligraph" is a perfectly reasonable English verb form (tho' not very easily tripping off the tongue), and there's no reason why it shouldn't be used. Mabel makes a new word! Heck, if we can grow businesses, we can surely calligraph cards.

Angel, could you include in your initial posting on this thread, that for anyone getting me to make up their cards, the size of the stitching is a maximum of 40 x 40 stitches at 14 count (maybe someone else can work it out for other fabric too?).

I've also realised that these cards are going to be pretty big if the aperture size is 76 x 76 cm   - I meant mm !!!!!!!!

So the fabric you work on needs to be at least 90mm square for either the square or the round aperture card so that I've got room to adhere the stitching to the inside of the card.

If anyone wants me to do this, please pm me to get my address. Angel, I'll let you know how many I'm waiting for and then post them all to you at the same time.

Angel I really want to be apart of this but with the way things are going I don't want to hold anyone up. Can you give me a week to sort things out and then I can give you a definite yes or no ??????

Sorry all. I originally expressed an interest in doing this, but haven't been too well lately and may have to have an op in the near future. So, forgive me for bowing out at the moment. Hope it all goes well - it sounds really good.

Sudden and rather worrying thought -- Rose, as these cards are going to be sold, albeit for charity, where do we stand as regards copyright? Presumably Disney characters etc. are a no-no, but what about general flowers and animals?
