Erm just seen this - a hospital with a Unicorn & an ice maker. Whatever next! Love the Joan Elliott chart (i think it is her design) with a Unicorn in it. Saw it on Creative Poppy website.

Can someone enlighten me about this hospital please What do Unicorns eat that it resides in the hospital grounds Does it eat grass as horses do? Guess this is a fantasy sector of the forum. Sounds most interesting though :D .

St Cross Stitchers is a community hospital for members of the forum. Nursing staff are generally speaking other members and the only doctor I’m aware of is Dr Tiny Cat. If you are feeling under the weather for whatever reason, St Cross Stitchers is a relaxing and restorative place to be fussed over (or not, depending on your mood). If you read back in the thread, you’ll get a good idea of why our little hospital is a handy place.

Not to mention that that set of swing doors over there go straight into the Stash & Grab, our virtual pub.

Now, to be fair, Hengest has never bothered the delphinium before, but I suspect that since we were offline for nearly a month, he felt neglected, and was only trying to help with the gardening. I have no idea what unicorns eat, but expect it is mostly grass. He wandered in from the back garden of the S&G (he’s not allowed into the winter garden glass house for obvious reasons), and perhaps he and the Kelpie in the loch had a falling out? These mythical creatures, eh? But I do believe that Mabel has had a word... :D

Thank you for explaining. Made me laugh & that can't be bad. Will read back a few more than I did before & then I'l see just how accommodating this hospital is.

Now must pop over the Stash & Grab bit in case unicorn is hanging around there. Would love to see it :D

I am not in the hospital, but I will be tomorrow.
Having a hernia repair operation on 9 July. I will probably be offline for a while, not sure how long though.

Richard

Wishing you a speedy recovery and hope that you are home soon. Stitching is a great way to spend your time while recuperating and not allowed any real strenuous activities. Looking forward to your getting back to us soon!

I am back home now. 9 staples in my stomach. It is somewhat uncomfortable, and I have 2 weeks before they can be removed. Hopefully all will go OK in the next few days.

Dr Tiny Cat's assistants are here to help you, Richard. They have been warned that your lap may be out of bounds, but they agreed that around the shoulder and neck area would do in a pinch. Glad you got it sorted and that it all went well; long may it be so. :cake:

:applesauce:
Slept last night on one of our reclining armchairs in the living room. Only way I could sleep in any comfort, but only for about 3 hours. Tummy isn't easy to live with. I now really sympathize with mums who've had a caesarian - they have a bigger and deeper cut, which is a horrible thing to happen on top of having to cope with a newborn brat.
Anyway, had a fleabag (Squeaky) on my legs for most of that time, another (Rooster) under the leg support, and number 3 (Ozzie) was pressed up against the front door, where he could see me and all bedroom doors. He wasn't going to let any of us escape without getting fed first!

Regards

Richard.

You sound very much like yourself so I hope that besides being very tired and sore you are starting to feel better. Clearly the felines have met their responsibility of watching over (and under) you. And thank you for keeping us all updated. I am so glad that we are back so we can help keep you occupied during your recuperation. I hope you are not one of those males who does not listen to Doctor's orders and believes they can do things that they are not really supposed to. I except the women in your home and the felines will see to it. So glad that you are back!
