It really is a pain to stitch though.
There's full stitches with 2 strands
Full stitches with one strand
Half stitch with one strand
Some in the same colour, so I'm looking thinking , I've used that colour already. So think I've done it wrong.
So many confetti stitches but there quarter stitches, not easy to find the right place one you've done loads of half stitches.
New attack plan needed for other pages I think
Finished:
Massive Disney design
Freddie mercury (for my mum)
Ocras at play.
Dolphins.

you are really moving through this quickly. I've done one or two things that have had confusing stitches , and they can be a pain, keeping it all straight.

Page 1 of 4 complete. Now do I do all the backstitching on the page before moving on or leave it all till last? Can't decide

Beautiful update, Paul! Great progress and beautifully stitched!
If it was me, I would do the backstitching as I go because it's not my favorite thing to do.

Same as,she said... backstretch is not my thing so if I leave it all at the end I would probably never do it!
Great progress!

I love the effect of the one strand vs. two strands, full crosses vs. half crosses, even if it is a lot to keep straight! As for the backstitch, I know I am the oddball here but I like to leave it until the end. I feel like it finishes it so much and it's a treat for me to do it - if I deny myself the treat until the rest is done, I am more likely to finish the piece
I suppose it's all personal preference!

Great update! I'm another who would leave the back stitch till the end or do it page by page depending on the size. I don't mind backstitching when it sharpens the design and really is necessary to see the detail in the piece. I don't like it when you can't see it and it makes no difference to the design.
