I am with you Mabel,the crackling is so good, it has to be very crispy, with no fat on the back for me
I can't stand those little bags of crackling they sell in shops, they just taste like salted fat
I had to dash in to open the store this morning as my boss had a puncture, after she came in I went to the local cafe and had breakfast, scrambled egg on toast with bacon, and a fresh milky coffee as well
I think it cost more than I will be paid, but it was worth it

I rarely touch bacon now but when I do I have to pick off all the fat and rind and it really annoys people!

hehe I do stir fries with bacon and after cooking it I cut off the fat then eat it before chopping the now fatless bacon up and adding it and the rest of the stuff to the noodles.

Im the same as T'bear can have no fat on it even when its cripsy.

Yeah, I'm known to sit and cut the tiniest bits of fat off things, I just really hate it bigtime!

Snap n i aint just like that with bacon, im like that with anything that has fat on it or grissle (sp) lol. Really gets people mad dont it lol.

you can both come round to mine. I'll eat your fat. I'll cut it all off so you don't have to play with it.

Yup, I'm the same Sammy. I had tea at inlaws once (in the early days) and they had got this honey roasted ham and they were all sat staring at me as I delicately carved off even the tiniest bits of fat and at the end of the meal, they all had empty plates and mine had a pile of cut off fat on it!



Fortunately, they are used to me now.


Angel, hubby says to me to stop playing with my food as well!
Oh, and you can have every scrap of fat off my plate.

HAHA T'bear thats so funny, im just the same and Lee's mum is use to me now but after 7 years his dad still dont get y i do it and still says "whats up with that bit?" LOL. Lee has the fat if its crispy and his dad will have the rest lol.

I get so many funny looks when we go out to eat as i eat really slow to, so buy the time i have finished picking and cutting there almost half way through and once there done im still eating lol. Oh well what can u do.

Ha! That sounds just like me sammy. I'm usually last. I have stopped eating much meat these days though, so I don't have so much to pick over,

I eat quite abit still but tends to be things that dont have fat around them n stuff but everything gets picked at no matter what it is. Lee is convinced its an OCD

I eat fast. Which only adds to peopls ideas that I have an eating disorder. I devour food like I've not eaten in a month and might not for the rest of the year...and I always eat a tonne too!

Don't know how frogging got off on to eating habits but oh well

I don't mind a small amount of fat but not a lot. My husband howerver hates fat. He is the one that cuts off every bit of fat and has a pile sitting on his plate at the end of a meal. That is ok though as the dogs love table scraps. Only a very little though as Cookie has a delicate tummy.
