I am getting my wisdom teeth out Monday. (Yes, that's the bad news.) Well, I guess you could say the bad news is that my medical insurance doesn't cover the anesthesia so I'm not going to be put out. Can you say ?
The good news is that this will probably FINALLY give me enough time to finish the project. Hooray!
I hope you meant "no general anaesthetic", rather than "no anaesthetic at all"? I had mine out with local anaesthetic, and although the noises can be a bit disconcerting, I didn't actually feel anything (other than the needles for the local anaesthetic, but that was soon forgotten). In the evening I was munching the Dutch version of pork scratchings -- and belive me, they need a good bite

I get quite nervous whenever I go to the dentist, actually, and need them to give me laughing gas whenever I have shots or fillings. But, no, I am only getting the shots and an anti-anxiety pill, they are not putting me out. It isn't covered under my insurance. I really hope that the pill works for me- I'm not very good at dealing with these things!
Had a slow day at work yesterday and every ten minutes I said, "I could be stitching right now..." but unfortunately I had left everything at my boyfriend's house. So later that night he watched a movie and I curled up on the couch next to him and got a lot done! I am on my way. I am sure today and tomorrow (as long as I feel up to it after the surgery) are all I really need to finish it.
But I do have a question. On her right (our left) of her shirt, the back stitching is lifting up. When you have a long straight back stitch that doesn't really touch any corners, how do you keep it tight?? I thought I had done a good job but when I look at it (not in the picture) I see how loose it is.

Oh, thanks for the link- I am going to check that out!
And yes, Jilly, when I stretch it I find that the thread isn't so loose. I was worried for a minute that it wouldn't work out and I'd have to redo that part.
Got no progress done today- was on here the whole time!
But I am sure that tomorrow ... uh... Monday, after my surgery I will be finishing it if I am not too swollen or "out of it" with the Vicodin...
I feel fine- so far! *crosses fingers, knock on wood*
The process itself didn't go so well- the sleeping pill they gave me calmed my nerves a bit but the shots and the surgery was pretty rough. Fortunately, it only lasted about 5 minutes total (the actual extraction of both teeth) and it's all downhill from here! Now I'm sitting here with gauze in my mouth- watching Dirty Dancing and now Enchanted and then probably Les Miserables... and I've got the Big Girl Panties right here!! Thanks for all your warm wishes- it means a lot.
*I take my hat off to u* Ur so brave, i would have never have been able to have done this, i hate havin to use a knife and folks at most times as the sound of them grating on teeth just goes through me but to have both out is just

So glad that you are doing so well. Both my kids had problems when they had theirs out but I did fine. Had the local and had all 4 pulled, no ill effects on me, I was up in hours taking care of two small children so good luck to you and I hope your big girl panties are soon done.
This cake is very soft so you can have it.
