I'll be putting it all together on the diagonal with the edges all zig-zaggy. Probably with tassels. :)

:applesauce: If you keep making these beautiful granny squares, I'm going to want to start crocheting again. That is going to be stunning.

It's really thick and soft and cosy too - it's going to be such a warm, snuggly blanket! :)

Just what I need tonight a nice cuddly knee blanket!!! Never thought I would feel the cold up here so left my 2 knee blankets packed away - and of course it is in the farthest away boxes. Oh well, grab the cat and snuggle down with him

:applesauce: :applesauce: Great crochet Kell and I love the colour scheme - mine and those my mum made are from the scrap bag. :stars: :stars:

Your crochet is really coming along -- the blanket and cushion are beautiful, no wonder he loves them! And the white/grey/black squares are so elegant

And finally, a little bit of cross stitch - hurrah! Here's Carmen's birth sampler all framed up and ready to go with the blanket, a book (Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter) and a cuddly toy (Roo from Winnie the Pooh). The last two were chosen by Xander for his new cousin. :)

And here's how my new afghan is coming along! I now have eight completed squares joined and you can begin to see how it's all going to come together. :)

Excellent progress on the blanket, I love the look of it! And that's a great birth sampler. How thoughtful of Xan for the other gifts. :)

I made a quick little gift for myself - a ruffle scrunchie in green and yellow (check how that yellow edging matches my yellow nail varnish!). I'm always tying my hair up and I thought this would be a pretty accessory. I think I'll do a bunch of them in different colour combinations. :)

I never thought about how difficult it is to take a photo of the back of your own head till now - LOL! Anyway, here's that scrunchie in action. Pretty cool, eh? :)

:applesauce: that scrunchie is great. You are so imaginative and then turn your ideas into practical applications. I love that.

I'd been thinking about doing something for my hair then I found http://meladorascreations-com.webs.com/doublecrochetscrunchie.htm and just HAD to try it out. It was such a quick little project and I can see me ending up with these in so many different colours. And I just know my nieces (who are 7 years old) would love some of these. As soon as I work out how to crochet with beads too, I'll try some with beaded edgings to see how they turn out. I think that would look so pretty! :)
