Just... Just WOW!

That's the sort of lifestyle and home decoration to which I'd like to become accustomed.

Hoo boy. Amazing. Look at the 3D walk-around at the bottom of the page Mabel linked. Incredible. Thank you Mabel, much appreciated. Your drawing room is one of the ones it is possible to navigate into. So sumptuous. What an incredible venue.

Regards,

Richard

My dad's house went up for sale last Saturday. We received an offer for it after the first viewing on Tuesday. No as high as I had hoped, but higher than the estate agent was urging us to put it on the market for - but I dug my heels in and insisted on a higher figure.
All I have to do is get through probate & then the sale can actually go through.

Richard

Pleased for you that the first viewing lead to an offer - good luck with sorting all the necessary practicalities!

Thank you. I hope it will go smoothly, but nothing has so far, so I expect problems somewhere.

That's amazing.

Happy birthday.

She has her little creaky bits, but she is roadworthy - we're taking her to a rally this weekend, together with a friend's Chummy which is a few weeks younger than ours. Another friend is making a themed cake :-)

What does one get for a 100 year old Austin? Have fun at the rally.

The talk about grockles on the Word Game thread reminds me to try and be a pleasant visitor to Scotland next month :-)

One of the things I'm hoping to do there is run a little embroidery workshop for anyone who is interested among the group of Austin Seven holiday makers we'll be with. I'm trying to get the gentlemen involved too but so far they seem oddly resistant... I'm offering them all a choice of Bayeux Austin, heart brooch or rainbow card with message of choice, we'll see which one turns out to be the most popular.

Love these little cards, and I hope the uptake is good. Your ability to spot an embroidery opportunity never fails to astound me. :P

Tracy's being ordained as a Deacon in Canterbury on the 29th.

She's been cross stitching decorations on two red pieces of fabric to be made into a stole for the event. She's got Sparrows at one end and a bunch of Daffodils at the other end. She used a starch based plastic to give her a grid, and has now washed that out. However, she's getting all panicky about sewing the two pieces of red to a stiffener and backing fabric, so I think that'll be my job this weekend while she's off at a final residential. I suspect I'll be very dead if I get it wrong...

Undoubtedly as a nearly ordained Deacon (and congratulations and blessing to her!) she would forgive you 😊
