Thank you
I've turned the last corner finishing off the outer flowers:
Then I have the second half of adding the metallic threads to the wings left to finish off.
At the end of this piece I will be ready to do something else

This has certainly been a marathon, but you are almost finished, and what a finish it is!

Thank you.
A whole day to do the second half of the metallic stitching on the wings and there is no point in providing a photo as the camera cannot capture the glistening. There are some French knots to go and then it will be finished.
The next job is some house repairs

Can't wait to see the whole piece framed. It's been a marathon! And now you're off on another one. Goodness, the stamina!

Thank you Girls. Love to see an update on your stitching Nicola
A bit more progress on this one:
Trying to decide if I am allowed to stitch in one more thread before I have to go back to cleaning my conservatory. I grow peppers in there all summer but until I take the old plants out you can't see just how much of a mess they make

I dub you turbo.jo. (And yes, peppers do make a dreadful mess!)

I hadn't realised peppers were messy - the things you learn on this forum!
Turbo doesn't begin to describe your speed Jo, do you need to cool your needles every now and then

Looks lovely.
Speaking of metallic thread, has anyone used Au Ver a Soie's metallics? I understand they are different in the way they behave compared to, say, Kreinik or (grrr) DMC. The colours are amazing!
