Definitely a relief when they join up
One of the hazards I have is:
Birdie poop, yes in the house
In the summer I like to leave the doors open which is clearly an opportunity so the Robins make it a habit of flying into my house and perching on anything they think meets their needs at the time. This includes: the top of my computer screen, my cross stitch chart, Lamp arms and my magnifier many of which are above the piece I am working on so I have to cover my pieces whenever I leave them to prevent them being christened

Glad it was on the chart and not on your stitching!

I am still going on the outer border:
It looked like it was going to be hot this week so I had been trying to decide if I wanted to spend the time finishing the border or setting up and using the quilting frame. Sadly (?) it is looking like the weather is going to be more normal so gardening is on the cards
I have lost Friday because I have booked myself to go to the creative craft show at Farnborough. I drove past the signs to it for over 20 years when I worked now that I am retired I have no excuse but six years later I still have not been. So to prevent me from changing my mind I have paid for the ticket and have offered a free lift to the girls who go to our Friday sewing group if they would like to go.

Hope the gardening and the embroidery both progress equally well, at their own individual pace!

I don't seem to have done much this week:
But hiding in the outer border are a lot of Ivy leaves complete with their backstitching

It's beautiful, and it's going to be a thing of magnificence when finished, but that border would drive me NUTS.

The never ending border:
I've joined up the brown Ivy leaf border, backstitched the Ivy and restarted the right hand side of the leaves in the border and am taking them up to the top right. Joy

I've nearly made it to the right corner with the leaves:
I still have the same to do heading to the left corner

I did outline some of her wings

That's the corner flower done:
There are a fair few holes all over the place

Off to do the same on the left.

I forgot to take a pic of the left side before I restarted over here:
There is more to go than I thought

Sorry I have been so focused/frustrated with getting the border done that I have been very rude and forgot to say thankyou to everyone for following along on my never ending stitching adventure.
So thank you again

Made it to the corner:
Lots of backstitching to do, a few holes to fill, the single strand over one body of the Fairy and the metallic thread work to go
I started this back in March ... can I finish it by the end of September? I might be ready for a long break after this one

Deadlines are fine if a) you set them yourself and b) they don't cause you any stress - as long as that's the case, go you for September!

And all the rest of her body has been stitched:
Her wings need metallic thread added over their entirety
