The boarder is fun to work on but I have to hold it as it is so big and I am afraid of using a hoop or Qsnaps cause I done want the metalics under any stress--it shreads so easily. My hands arn't too good so it is taking longer than it normally would.

And I ran out of metalic gold. Why don't they tell you when you need more than one skein of floss??????????????? So annoying.

I second this. It is brilliant you must be so proud of how its turning out :applesauce:

Sorry to hear about your hand. Hope it improves. But this is definitely gorgeous!

Thanks all. the hands are a permanant condition.. Neither of my thumbs work and the muscle has atrophied in both thumbs (A form of arthritis). I have no feeling in first two fingers of my left hand. (Even surgery wont help this--advanced carpal tunnel).). Somedays it's a real thrill trying to pick up a needle.
But I am not letting it stop me from stitching. Actually it seems to help keep the mobility iin the rest of my hands. Go figure.!!!!!!!!

Stitching is therapy -- I knew it! But definitely :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: to you for overcoming all that to produce projects as stunning as your rose and this King Tut!

I think doing different crafts with your hands can help with flexibility and mobility. My father had severe arthritis in his hands, and he would crochet to help it. I don't see why stitching wouldn't do the same thing. :D

This piece is just amazing, I bet its real fun backstitching all those egyptian symbols around the border :D

Can I just ask, is this the big King Tut pattern that CrossStitcher magazine wouldn't stop advertising in their mag? Seriously, they're still doing it after 1/2 year of mags heh :D
