I'm not superstitious but it can't hurt can it!!!

I'm so pleased to hear it wasn't bad news for Shirley and you. It's always scary when you don't know what's happening.

I've got my fingers crossed that the problem is fixed now.

Just saw this this morning. I'm glad to hear that Shirley is perkier. Yes, it can be quite stressful when you seem to be going to the vet a lot and still don't know what the problem is.

Samantha (2 1/2 yr old Calico), Dainty (2 1/2 yr old tortoiseshell) and I will continue to send good thought your way.

Back at and back from the vet again. Yesterday was like Sunday never happened. Poor Shirley was back to not eating, lethargic etc. So early this morning we made the trip again (thank God he is only 10 minutes away). Neither would go near the new food, even when mixed in with their old food. I think a hunger strike was going on. But Shirley wasn't interested. So temporarily off the antibiotic, got more fluids and an anti nausea shot, an appetite stimulant that she gets 1/4 of the pill every 3 days and a steroid that she gets 1/2 of twice a day for 2 weeks, then once daily for 2 weeks and then I don't remember but its on the bottle. That one will dissolve in water so I'm going to try tuna water and see if that works. I have a eye dropper to use too. And now the whole thing is to get calories in so back to Fancy Feast and her regular dry food. and baby food. I trick her with that one because I put it in the dish that I use if I am giving them table food bits. And when I got back from the grocery she ate a little bit of everything including treats. And I think I got a lecture afterwards about providing tasty food. The other tests that they could do would probably only result in the same treatment. What the vet is most worried about I think is that it could be that what causes the seizures could be causing this, could be something in lymph nodes, or pancreatitis. So, keeping an eye on her and keeping fingers and paws still crossed.
You have no idea how much I appreciate your concern and hope that you will just bear with me.

We are all here for you and will carry on sending prayers and good vibes.

Have you tried chicken pieces to tempt her? our cat is a very faddy eater, and chicken is the only hing that really gets her eating.

I hope Shirley feels better soon, and big hugs to you as I know exactly how worrying these times are.

Oh dear poor Shirley - and poor you too Carole :ribbit:    that all will be well this time.

HM just gave a wee mmmmeo when I told him. He is asleep in my new chair and loves it - think I may have lost it to him as there aint room for both of us.

Bender is all well, but now Bazal is down with it. Our fur babies do cause us heartache at times don't they.

Have been following this and hoping that Shirley recovers and the vet discovers the underlying cause. Hope she eats all her food to keep her strength up.
