Well believe it or not, the dreaded hat is finally in place!!!!
Well, it's the best I'm going to get it now anyhow considerng the condition of the poor aida under it.

So now all I have left to do is the background; sand to finish, sea and sky to do and then onto to tackle the back stitch.

The picture is finally stitched !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really never thought I'd do it, especially when the hat was such a problem.

Well, it's finished all bar the backstitch, which to be honest I am quite nervous to attempt. See previously on my small projects I either didn't do it or a friend added it for me.

This time I am going to do it myself.

Will upload a progress picture soon.

Don't dread the backstitching it really is not as bad as you may think and it really makes the picture complete. I really don't mind backstitching at all I like how it makes my work pop.

Well done you. Looking forward to seeing the final pic. Just take your time with the backstitch. I find it boring, but it does make a difference to the finish and is well worth it.
