The Stitchy Story of Miss Future Stitcher-June 24th

Post by Nachstenliebe »

I think Loreli is on her way to deserving her own ongoing thread.....So instead of starting varioud threads I'll just add to this one.....

SHE STOLE MY PROJECT! After dinner last night I went to bed early because I wasn't feeling good. On her daddy's watch she went through my stitch bag and stole the spring fairy project! Hubby found it under her sheets in her crib when he was putting her to bed... The pattern is also missing and I've yet to find it..

I thought I had a few years left before she was stealing my stash.....

Oh no! Bad Loreli! :D

Hope you find your pattern soon. You'll really have to get her some stitching of her own as well - she could be our youngest ever stitcher :D

Aww bless her, my daughter also loves stitching. Not mine though shes a Little Miss Independant and has to have her own (she's 3!) I brought her a stitching set from my local poundshop, wool, plastic frame, lots of coloured charts and 2 plastic needles. She loves it and now has her own stitchy bag! :) trouble is she's can't thread her own needles yet..... :)

Her instincts are absolutely correct!

However, remember this in future, when she's "borrowing" your blouses, shoes, makeup...

She's already stealing my jewelry! If I wear a necklace out of the house then she has to as well.. And she knows the difference between children's costume jewelry... She was highly offended when I tried to get her to wear a children's beaded necklace

Last week when Loreli and I went on a shopping spree. She demanded I get a Little Mermaid kit. And she kept saying she would stitch it .. "I stitch merme"... When we got home she showed her daddy and insisted she would stitch it to him as well....
The first day she was content to supervise, and I gave her one color of each floss and she would repeat each color it was. She would look at the pattern and at my work and approve so to speak of my work...
Image
I tried to get it on video but she was pointing out all the features on the mermaid. "Eyes, nose, mouth" and whatnot....
And here is Ariel so far:

Loreli's purse is almost done! I finished stitching the mermaid! I changed the background shells to suit the fabric I was going to use for the purse. The fabric is extra from her blankie.
