They're very cute! You can crochet these as well. :)
I've never done any myself though.

I have done some before I even knew what amigurumi was - but not in the Japanese style :) I knitted two teddy bears, just off-hand (if this is the right word): without a pattern, I just started knitting and looking at our existing teddies shaped the form as I was going. The first one was a bit awkward, but lovely, I will soon find a picture. The second became much better - but no picture, I am afraid, it was given to my class for our last Christmas together and one of them took it home after graduating  .

Edit: here is Gatyi, the first one, but I can't find a pictue of the whole teddy, just his head. I have to ask my ex... may be those pictures are on his computer. It is also very small (I mean the picture) - because it was my avatar on messenger for a long time. :)

Those look amazing, I used to do loads of knitting - I wouldn't mind trying some of these in the future.

I got that book and 2 others for christmas, along with a bunch of yarn:

The other two are crochet books, but I just taught myself how to crochet last week and the crochet books are actually pretty beginner/intermediate in my opinion. I've been able to do them without much of a problem.

Oh and i also forgot, this book is recommended too (also got it for christmas) but its crochet too.

I love to crochet amigurumi! I have a couple of books and I got a couple off line. I good place to find my amigurumi patterns is http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory.php

There they have a lot of stuff to try. I find myself really liking the food patterns as well. My son (who's 11 now) really loved them when he was younger.
