HAED Christmas Presence update 1/26/11

Post by ohstitcher »

I had all of the floss for another start but when HAED had their last sale I bought 2 new patterns one which was Christmas Presence by Pickney. I scrambled to get the last of the floss for that and my fabby came in (even though I am 1/2 inch short on the sides for 3 inches around) I started on it last night. Here is what it will look like

I will show progress as I go

I saw this one and debated with myself about it, but have been very good and have just added to my Christmas list instead of buying one yet. ( :beg: Santa bring me some HAEDs for christmas)

really look forward to seeing how this one goes.

I started on this a couple of days ago and worked on it last night too. Not much to show but I started in the middle so I am at santa's suit and the colors are strange a red and then a tangerine/mango color (I rechecked the symbol) but I am sure it will come together. I will post piccy when i have more done.

I was amazed at the amount of black thread needed in this one, I wouldn't have expected it.

Yeah, HAED definitely uses some strange colors that you think would not even remotely work but then when it's done it somehow works perfectly!

this one is extraordinary. i think my only complaint about the design is how the tree just tends to blend right in with the garland.

also, when you work so hard on such a huge design, do you leave it out year round? it seems like such a shame to put it away but it doesn't seem appropriate to leave an obvious christmas design hanging up.

Wow! This will be great to watch. There's so much detail especially in the garland.
