I did this for a change. The yarn was $8 for a 16 oz ball of yarn. And the one ball did the entire blanket. Love that. No stray ends to weave in allover the place. All ready for those cold winter nites. :cold: Meanwhile on Sunday the humidex reading will be 40 C. :sun: :hot:

what a beautiful shade of red. my grandma taught me how to crochet but i haven't done it in probably 20+ years. i always resented that it wasn't knitting...never happy with the blessings we do have!

Oh that's gorgeous. I would love to try something like this, but I'm just learning to crochet, so maybe not yet.

My Nana taught me to crochet as well. I think I was about 6. She taught me to knit at the same time too but I like to crochet best. I have another big ball of yarn the same colour so I an doing another one, different pattern though. It is great to take to my friends house because she doesn't have the light I need to stitch there. Keeps my hands busy. No rush to finish , just nice to do something different once in a while.

I crocheted a blanket for granddaughter, it kept me very warm when I was doing it.
